For being used in high temperature environment heat insulation materials can be applied in the construction of expansion joints. They take the main load from high temperatures. Usually this material is used in the construction with built-in metal unit. This type of construction has some advantages: flexible part is remote on the certain distance from the flow, also it is protected by heat insulation materials and telescopic protective screen. This type of expansion joint is applied in the system with exclusive standards of reliability and safety. Good example of application is installation of the expansion joints in exhausting systems of gas turbine power stations and gas piping equipment.
